IWHY JESUS CAME

A.  “He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.”  1 John 3:8

B.  “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”  John 10:10

C.  “Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness – by whose stripes you were healed.”  1 Peter 2:24

IIHE GAVE US POWER TO DO WHAT HE DID

A.  “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to the Father.”  John 14:12

B.  “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor.   He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed.  To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.”  Luke 4:18-19

C.  “And when He had called His twelve disciples to Him, He gave them power over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease.”  Matthew 10:1

IIIBELIEVERS HAVE SPECIAL POWERS TO HEAL THE SICK

A.  “And these signs shall follow those who believe:  in My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover."  Mark 16:17-18

IVASK IN PRAYER AND BELIEVE IN THE ANSWER COMING

A.  So Jesus answered and said to them, “Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, ‘Be removed and cast into the sea,’ it will be done.  And all things whatever you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive.”
Matthew 21:21-22

B.  “If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.“  John14:7

C.  “Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us.  And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”  1 John 5:14-15

D.  “If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.”  John 15:14

E.  Agreement Prayer of Two: "Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.” Matt. 18:19

VASK IN THE NAME OF JESUS

A.  “And in that day you will ask Me nothing.  Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the Father in my name He will give you.  Until now you have asked nothing in My name.  Ask, and you will receive that your joy may be full.”  John 16:23-24

VIPREREQUISITES TO HAVING YOUR PRAYERS ANSWERED

A.  Faith is Required
“And suddenly, a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from behind and touched the hem of His garment, for she said to herself, ‘If only I may touch His garment, I shall be made well.’  But Jesus turned around and when He saw her He said, ‘Be of good cheer, daughter; your faith has made you well.’  And the woman was made well from that hour.”   Matthew 9:20-22

B.  Confess All Sins of Thought, Word and Deed (known and unknown)
“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”  1 John 1:9

C.  Be Obedient.  (Obey this day to receive answers to our prayers.)
“And whatever we ask we receive from Him because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.”  1 John 3:22

“Therefore submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.”  James 4:7

D.  Forgive All Others
“For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.  But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”  Matthew 6:14-15

“And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.  But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.” Mark 11:25-26

VIITECHNIQUES FOR HEALING

A.  Bind the devil and loose God’s healing power.
“Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”  Matthew 18:18

B.  Call the Elders Together
“Is anyone among you sick?  Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.  And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up.  And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven.  Confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.  The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.”  James 5:14-16

VIIISPIRITUAL WARFARE IS NEEDED AGAINST SATAN AND HIS ANGELS WHEN THE AFFLICTION IS FROM THE EVIL SIDE.

A.  “We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him.  We know that we are of God, and the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one.”  1 John 5:18-19

B.  We have power for spiritual warfare: “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.  Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven.”  Luke 10:19-20

C.  Command the evil spirits to leave.  “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.“  Matthew 11:12
